Welcome to Shed O' War Games, a UK-based wargaming rules publisher founded in July 2026 by lifelong wargamer Des Darkin. My flagship American Civil War (ACW) ruleset is designed to balance historical accuracy with fast-playing, streamlined mechanics for both 15mm and 28mm miniatures. The real Shed O War sits at the bottom of our garden and was a gift from my wife on my 50th birthday. In the ten years that it has been there I have been lucky enough to play hundreds of games with my friends from all over the world. I have had mates from Australia, Denmark, Poland ,Sweden and from all over the British Isles rolling dice, throwing banter across the table top, and having a few beers afterwards at the game de-brief. Above all, it has been a place of great joy and memories. Long may it continue
